In two words: "So what?"

...the Lotus Geeks that have stumbled upon this have began freaking out because they believe that a Linux desktop means the end of the Notes client. And since the Lotus Geek community tends to always be on the defensive about their beloved product, they have reacted with the usual "sky is falling" mentality.

    You can pick on your kid brother all you want to, but as soon as you see someone else doing it, it's "go time"!

    I think that's pretty much how we all feel about Lotus products: we talk of their short commings because we know the products can do so much, but just let one of those MF... I mean, M$-ers talk about it and we'll take the fight to them.

    What more can you ask for Ed? You've got a legion of people that, while giving the product a wedgie and flinging peas at it from across the dinner table, would fight any Redmond bullies that dare show their faces.

    Hell, most of us spent our own money to register a domain with the product name in it! If that doesn't show ya love...

    What's really annoying is that back in 1999/2000, I was trying to push management into migrating our software to Linux, and got entirely nowhere out of it...

    They say better late than never, but better earlier than later...
