Three different evening events -- press reception, midwest customer dinner, business partner reception -- very different feels, very different food -- very similar attitudes.  Really great to see how positive and optimistic the attitudes are today.
I left the business partner reception at 10:30, fully intending to call it a night.  But passing the new "Blue Zoo" Todd English restaurant/bar in on the way into the Dolphin is a siren song -- and colleagues Diana Ermini, Amy Reuss Caton were just sitting right there, suggesting a drink with my name on it.  Eventually, a whole crop of other Loti appeared, including the aforementioned demo team, quite happy to have their biggest obligation of the week complete.
Tuesday's a heck of a busy day, with press, sessions to attend, a Birds of a Feather, and seven dinner invitations.  Since I can't do seven (heck, I'm not going to even try to do more than one), I have the opportunity to pass on one invite-only admission to a pretty cool Lotus party tomorrow night...someone will want it....this could be an interesting way to find out who is reading my blog at 1 AM ;)  Heck,  I see everyone else is blogging at 1 AM,as Feedreader just updated Duffbert, Declan, Andrew, Melissa, and Warren's blogs, all in the last 10 minutes.  Yowsa.
Best news of the day?  Looks like the IBM stock closed just shy of US$100 a share.  It's always a good feeling when you make major announcements and see it reflected in the confidence of the financial community (if that is indeed why the movement...who knows, really).  Going to have to keep close watch on that this week -- somehow I think a lot of sell orders are set right on the big $100 number, so tomorrow should be interesting.

on the Lotus party invite, but I would have been really missing out on a fine opportunity to fight off the novarg.A@mm mass mailing virus that swept the internet tonight. Not as much fun as you are having. Give it to Myra or Dennis if you see them, with my compliments.

Actually, I was planning on going to bed too, but somehow ended up sitting with with the Wild Bill crew watching Turtle sing karaoke. Oh well, maybe a nap tomorrow...
