...the more I realize how many people I didn't meet last week.  Aside from missing out on revealing who "file save" on LDD is, I'm reading blog entries that point to Rune Carlsen, Matt White, Tom Nichols, and many others having been there.  Now, so many of the events were such a blur that maybe in fact I did meet some of you, and name retention is one of my weaker skills anyway.  So for now, broad general apologies for those I didn't meet or see.  Lotusphere is always tough for me this way -- I spend a lot more time behind the scenes: in press interviews, customer or partner meetings, coordinating speakers, etc.  In fact, I only attended two sessions (plus my own, meet the developers, and the open/close) the whole week.  That's the way it goes.
It's also interesting how few of you I spent any real time talking to.  Volker and I have noticed this before -- because we are so accessible to each other year-round, we don't end up talking much face to face.  It's a really weird phenomena.  Heck, this year, I didn't even realize when he left!
One suggestion for next year is to have a BoF for bloggers.  So obvious, yet I never thought to do it.  We did have a couple of session submissions on blogging, but it didn't make the cut.  Normally, when a topic doesn't make the cut for the conference, we often think about a BoF instead...and it didn't happen this time.  I am thinking of hosting an open conference call for Domino bloggers sometime next month or so, maybe that will be a start.
Other suggestions for Lotusphere '05 are being made on many different blogs at the moment -- I'm reading as many as I can, so thanks and keep it up Rocky, Melissa, Julian, Warren, Declan, etc.
Last, my slides from "The Boss Loves Microsoft: Where does that leave Lotus? 2004" will be posted here shortly, I promise.  Right, John?

I have them here. What is making it difficult to post them? Lawyers involved?

it's not like -that- pitch. Only that Mr. Head would like to set up some kind of shared repository for file downloads from our mutual blog server...which isn't done yet.

Hey, Ed... an IBMer as a co-speaker might go a long way toward getting it approved. Anyone come to mind? ;-) If not you, is there anyone at IBM Lotus, or perhaps other divisions or IBM research, involved with social software and blogging technologies for collaboration and KM?

The BOF idea is good, too. Of course, there's never enough time for everything, and I have a feeling that a 7 AM blogging BOF might not get as high attendance as we might want ;-)

How about a 9:00 PM blogging BOF at ESPN next year?

9:00 PM at ESPN on the Saturday before the conference. No wait, there is something else that occurs there at that time. But there are a lot of bloggers in attendance. :-)
