It's official -- Dr. Ambuj Goyal, General Manager, Lotus Software, will be the lead keynote speaker at the 20th Deutsche (German) Notes Users Group meeting, May 10-12, 2004, in Karlsruhe.  Matt Cain from META Group will also keynote.
Does that mean that the last pair of Lotus and external DNUG keynote speakers set such a high bar for insightful presentations that they had to go to the "big guns" for the next one?
I don't think I'll be attending Karlsruhe -- much as I like working with DNUG, I can't see what additional value I could possibly bring.

That he actually buys a round at the bar this time - as he spectacularly failed to do at JellyRolls during Lotusphere 2004..

Any chance the big man is heading down to Oz in the near future?

I happen to know one of the people* who arranged for him to speak at DNUG, if we had a similar kind of event to work towards for Oz, anything's possible. I also am talking to the regional marketing team in about an hour, so we can probe a bit then, too.

*(oh, that would be me ;))
