Steve Gillmor:

My candidate for most irritating spam is the several pieces a day I get postmarked "Tomorrow." ....[B]ecause their time stamp is set for tomorrow at 4:56PM and 2:12AM respectively, they float at the top of the queue, never scrolling down as new mail comes in.
I wonder (and wondered on Steve's blog), what mail client does this?
Lotus Notes/Domino isn't that gullible.  Mr. IDoNotes pointed me to technote 1094593 which explains that Notes respects the delivered date, not the posted date, in the Notes inbox.  Opening the message will display the posted date/time as reported by the mail headers.
Update: Gillmor responded on his blog -- he's using Microsoft Entourage on the Mac. I should have known. :)
