Count yerself lucky you live in the USA. The UK version of iTunes seems to be rarely accessible and when it is up and running it doesn't contain anywhere near as many tracks as the US version. And so much for the global market created by the Internet. So many US-based sites demand a credit card with a US billing address, and iTunes is one of them... so we can't purchase from it.
Having said that, the wife is very happy with her pink iPod Mini. Pink? I'm not taking up her offer to borrow it.

Happy with my 3G 20GB iPod at the moment. Just took it on my summer hols and have somehow managed to amass 17GB-worth of music and speech!
Lovely, lovely piece of kit :-)
Next stop - 40GB for me too...!

Ed I recently got a 40GB 4G and was made fun of because the first think I did was put my Notes Contacts on it, before I even put on a single song! Just go to your Personal Address Book's Contacts view, select all, file - export vCard, give it a name (I used notescontactsDDMMYY.vcd) and save to the iPods contacts folder. 10 seconds, and tada Notes and iPod are synched! My other suggestion, go to an office supply store, and get sheets of clear plastic to cover/protect the screen. It's like the stuff you get on a new watch. I've recently started putting it on everything, my iPod (including the back), the screen on my camera, my phone, etc.

So you recommend I do something that people will make fun of....and you recommend that I buy computer condoms. Alrighty, then :)

I already use those plastic sheets on my phone, iPod and other things. I love the 40GB iPod I have and I still haven't transferred my Notes contacts. Since it is my little handheld mental break I don't need work stuff creeping onto it.

Envy all of you who have one. With the current exchange rate it Malaysia, it's slightly on the high side for a gadget like that.

iPods have always been on the high side, but I love mine too. Music, Books (on CD), all sorts of things.
So simple, yet so strange a device.

I tried to tell Ed to get the 40 gig one, but he would not listen. He said, 640k ehm 20 gig ought to be enough.

By the time I need 40 GB, the standard will be 1 TB ... and Megan will be happy with 20 GB :)

Nice toy ... way to go Ed.
