I don't even know what in the heck this search was really looking for (who or what is beercanboyd?), but I'm the #3 result on search.yahoo.com .  At first, I couldn't figure out how in the heck yahoo thought I was a pron site...then I remembered our dear friend in the UK whose last name is unfortunately, also American slang for, well, you know.

    Um, Ed, I think "Beer Can" is a geometric reference, probably width, as I'm sure that the alternative, height, is less impressive. ;-)

    In the 80s there was a major league pitcher who went by the name of Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd. Played for the Red Sox for a while, as well as various other teams. Good pitcher, hampered by a bad temper that got him in trouble repeatedly. Beer Can Boyd could easily be the stage name of an (ahem!) actor, or the Net handle of some dejected Sox fan.

    since my last post about google referers, i've had lots more people looking for "interesting" things. you've done it to yourself ed, now you've put all those words together in a coherent sentence. so now you not only have random words that happened to be together on one page at some point in time, you now have something that makes sense semantically as well. good job! maybe you will now join me in getting lots of hits for transvestites and hairy jocks! (i still don't know how they found my site for the latter one.) i know, you didn't actually say anything about hairy jocks. but i just did.

    beer can boyd... oil can boyd... oil can is slang for beer can... oil can boyd was a major league pitcher for the boston red sox back in the 80's
