I've been surfing the submitted Lotusphere 2005 abstracts off and on all weekend.  There's only one word for it -- overwhelming.  Lotus received what looks like a 3:1 submission ratio -- three submissions for every available speaking slot.  This is my fourth year as part of the content team, and I can't remember previously looking at such a mountain of interesting content ideas to sort through.
This is a good problem to have.

That's great news! Although maybe not for your workload :-) I think it's shows what great passion people have for your products.

I know it can't be stated publicly, but I'd be interested in knowing the ratio between the traditional Lotus prodcuts abstract, and the new Workplace products.

Well, it is consistent with what was said about content for LS05 -- more emphasis on Notes/Domino platform. I feel pretty confident that those seeking Notes/Domino content [including Quickplace and Sametime] will be pretty happy with what comes out. Some cool Workplace and Portal sessions, too.

It might be interesting to know what the ratio is broken out by track...

Very cool! I'm really looking forward to getting down there.

Nice, oops. Ignore that blog comment blunder just prior. ;-(

I noticed the link for submitting abstracts is still up there, event though the Oct 20 deadline has passed, and having read Rocky Oliver's post "So you want to be a Lotusphere speaker..." I was motivated to submit yet another abstract!

    Hope it's not too late...

Mark, for the most part, the process is locked. Don't want to discourage any last minute great ideas, but don't want to get anyone's hopes up, either.
