Well, since a heck of a lot of google searches for the Xact XG2500 (also sometimes referred to as a BellSouth GHS240) end up here, it is my duty to those google searchers to continue to hunt.  Today, six months after the phone first appeared in Wired Magazine, I've finally found a retailer offering it for sale.
It should be no surprise that after all this time, the phone is being marketed as at one of the high-end speciality stores...in this case, Hammacher Schlemmer.  The price for the Xact XG2500: US$130.  Since that's almost US$100 more than the typical 2.4GHz cordless phone, I'm not sure I'm up for it.
Comments in the previous thread on this phone have indicated that it should also be on sale at mass-market and electronics retailers... I'm not convinced.  There's no way that a high-end retailer like Hammacher is going to want to be undercut by Target.  I guess we'll see.

    I kinda like it and based on the current conversion rate with the UK it could be a decent price.

    Phone jack is an easy conversion, only problem would be the mains supply I guess...

    Anyone who bought the phone: can you tell me which picture is correct, the one on Xact's site { Link } or the one on Hammacher Schlemmer's site { Link }
