Visit with Michele Pennell and Marty Buckley

Setting off on the 20+ hour flights home in
just a few hours. Since wrapping up my work duties yesterday afternoon,
I've been with Michele Pennell and Marty Buckley, at their place overlooking
Manly Beach. It's been raining most of that time, but that doesn't
dampen the enthusiasm these two have for their Wallabies. Yes, the
rugby world cup final starts up about an hour after my flight leaves, so
I'll miss all the excitement. And it is exciting -- can't go anywhere
today without someone asking you what your plans are for the game tonight
(as if there is anything else anyone will be doing).
Here are Michele and Marty getting ready
for tonight's action.
Michele says g'day to all her former
Lotus groupies (oh come on, you know you were). She misses the excitement
of the community, but I don't think she's giving up the good life "down
under" anytime soon, especially with the wedding bells in the near
future.
We'll be seeing Michele, Marty, and the
rest of the Lotus/IBM Software gang from ANZ in Vegas in January.... hmmm,
could Studio 54 be the new 8 trax?

I can't believe all of Michele's groupies didn't chime in here to say hi -- I know you're all out there. Michele taught *me* about groupies when I first started on this speaking circuit, oh so many years ago...
Well, Michele -- Glad to hear all is well and that you and Marty are living the good life! You surely deserve it! We miss you though!
Hey, Michele! I get an amail from you about once a year, so I saw this blog entry on Bob's blog and thought I would drop a virtual note. Weren't you supposed to come back to the USA for at least a visit? Call, I would love to have a few with the gang at The Miracle (is it still there?)
