As I scan through my inbox, readying for a return to on-the-job in the morning, two items are standing out as good reminders:

1) This Thursday, November 5, IBM has a number of interesting events in Chicago, both professional and social.  During the day, you can visit the IBM Innovation Center and learn about a variety of our products and offerings.  Then the fun begins -- at 5:30 PM, I am hosting an open bowling evening at Lucky Strike Chicago.  No sales pitches, just a pure social event to build relationships and have some fun.  Details on my prior posting here.

2) Nominations for the 2010 Lotus Awards are open now!  Most categories will close on November 16; a few, like the new "best open source solution" award, will be open until January.  Some great new categories in the Lotus Awards this year, including best end-user solution and a marketing award.  Get those nominations in -- find all the details on the Lotus Awards page.

I'm looking forward to getting back into things this week, with Lotusphere only...uh, eleven weeks away!?!?  Time to get busy.
