Nice to see Cingular and Blackberry reaching out to US-based Lotus Domino customers with Blackberry Enterprise Server seminars...

Due to popular demand for more information about BlackBerry support for Domino, Cingular Wireless is pleased to announce an important FREE half-day seminar focused on how the BlackBerry Enterprise Server can deliver real benefits for mobile professionals.

I'm currently connected to our 6.5.4 mail server via a BES 4.0 server on my Cingular 7100. (7100g) I have to say, they really did a nice job on this.

Yes, you can have realtime mail, address book, calendar functionality, but the really cool stuff is kinda hidden. Once you get into it, you can do real-time lookups to the domino directory, which means room and resource reservation, and some other cool stuff.

On my Blackberry 5.0 wishlist is realtime schedule info (you can reserve rooms or invite people, but can't check the schedule before you do. (at least I haven't found out how) Also I'm looking forward to IBM's partnership with RIM in regards to getting a sametime client on the BlackBerry.

Also, I've only been using this RIM device-BES-Domino setup for a few weeks, so if somebody else knows a trick or two with this device, please post it.

They cancelled the event in Chicago less than a week before the scheduled date.

Has anybody heard about a new date being set?
