I guess it didn't help that college student in the dorm after all.  So why wasn't I more vocal?  Honestly didn't think it was worth the energy, and especially at the time that "Hula" was launched, I felt the criticism of anything "open source" would have felt defensive or uncool, sort of like putting any damper on "Web 2.0" now.
