Exchange alternatives seminar in NYC debrief
March 23 2005
We had about 20 people at 590 Madison today
for the "Alternatives to MS Exchange" seminar. The feedback
was very positive from the customers who attended, on all fronts. My
co-presenters included my colleague Brendan Crotty, who covered the latest
on Domino Access for MS-Outlook, Henry Bestritsky from Binary
Tree, who talked about migration
planning, and Jennifer Meade from ThroughboxIT. Overall, the format
of IBM/Lotus+partner worked out well, mixing strategy and product information
with experience and case studies. I would like to have had more time
for demonstrations, but I think the essence was captured in screen shots
and Brendan's demo.
Paul
Robichaux was
there, I'll be interested to see
whether he blogs about the event from the perspective of someone more affiliated
with Microsoft.
We'll be doing more events like this
in the future. Next week, I'm in Dallas
with Workflow Studios for a similar
kind of talk. For now, I'm off to the airport to make my way to Boston
for a customer briefing tomorrow.
