As part of the Notes/Domino 7 launch, Ferris Research has taken a look at the new release and providied an initial pass at the TCO (total cost of ownership) benefits of upgrading to the new release.  Their findings indicate substantial potential savings, especially in server consolidation and user productivity.  The report is focused on Notes/Domino as a messaging environment, but a lot of the reductions apply to any use of Notes.
