IBM has updated the whitepaper, "Protect and enrich your Lotus Notes and Domino investments", which was first published in October, 2003.  This 20+ page pager outlines the value Notes/Domino continues to deliver to more than 60,000 organizations worldwide.  It also covers ways in which Domino investments can be extended into WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, and IBM Workplace.

IBM Lotus Notes and Domino are fundamental parts of IBM Workplace, a family of products, technologies and solutions for transforming the way people work. IBM Workplace evolves and expands on Notes and Domino value propositions. By combining multiple collaborative capabilities into a single, security-rich, easily managed work environment that can be extended beyond organizational boundaries, IBM Workplace can help simplify your overall business operations.

Perhaps a more interesting new item on the "Lotus Software Advantage" page is the new presentation on "Customer deployment roadmaps" for Notes/Domino products and integrating them with IBM Workplace.  The presentation, created by my colleague Jason Dumont, should be helpful to those customers wondering what short-term tactical decisions should be made about upgrades, new releases, and new products from IBM in the Workplace family.  One of the interesting dilemmas it highlights is the upside/downside of choice.  IBM believes that a product line approach is the right way to approach collaboration and productivity.  It's all on "one lane" -- Workplace -- but there are different cars driving in that lane.  This paper highlights the choices available, and gives guidance on which ones specifically may make the most sense to your organization.
