Memory usage, probably not. Stability, I expect so.

I am running 8.0.1 Beta (I believe I can say this since I am showing it live in sessions). The beta is more stable for me and using a bit less memory than 8.0.0. Talking with the folks in the labs, expect it to be slightly better than 8.0.0. I know a lot of work is being done around performance going forward. They here us and are working on it.

I am running 8.0.1. and most of the Google gadgets do not work, they can be installed, but the links in the gadget or the ok buttons mostly do not work.
Any idea why?

Not the best feature I've seen in Lotus (makes it use too much system resources).
But it was inevitable: Mac OS X widgets, Konfabulator's widgets, MS gadgets ...
I'd rather have seen some IBM no charge new applications instead. Or some improvements to the NNTP or IMAP applications..

Awesome post. Here’s a tool that lets you build any type of web app widget in minutes, without coding { Link } fortune/

How about a release date for 8.0.1... any announcement on that? We're hoping it reduces memory usage and improves stability--even more than we are anxious for any new features.
