It´s showtime...
January 26 2005
Lots of catch-up blogging to do -- about
Declan and Rich's excellent session, about the user group birds-of-a-feather,
and about dinner with the Norwegians and bloggers -- we'll get there.
Ran into Bill Buchan yesterday, who
wondered why I am keeping a relatively low profile this week (translation:
"I didn't see you dancing on the bar at 8 Trax at 1 AM"). Pretty
simple -- I've been struggling through laryngitis since the welcome reception
Sunday night. With the big panel yesterday morning, press interviews,
partner meetings, and today's two presentations, I've needed the vocal
rest in the off-hours. Hope all who texted me from Kimono's last
night had a good time.
Anyway, today is showtime. I'll
be delivering or participating in the following sessions --
- 8:30 AM -- "How to 'sell' Notes/Domino inside your organization"; presented with Libby Ingrassia, in Dolphin S. Hemisphere III
- 11:15 AM -- Domino Bloggers birds-of-a-feather, in Dolphin Oceanic I (that's the back hallway near registration)
- 1:30 PM -- "The Boss Loves Microsoft: Where does that leave Lotus?", in Swan Ballroom 6

Yikes, laryngitis can be a PITT, hope you'll make it until 2:30. Don't forget to post the "Boss loves Microsoft" slides after you're done ;-)

Moi ? Disparage your party-animal credentials ? Never..
Its just odd not seeing you running around at 100mph, talking to every single delegate...
We're missing your voice.
Oh - and I have a present for you - from a friend near Finland..

Hang in there, Ed. I bet with your slides polished up today that you could whisper your way through "Boss loves Microsoft" and get high marks on the reviews.

Break a leg...or is it an NSF?
Anyways, I'm keeping good thoughts for a successful day for you!

Ed,
For us poor stepchildren who are not able to attend the 'Sphere it sure would be *GREAT* if your The Boss Loves Microsoft presentation were available as a WebCast. Also, when I have seen it live I have had trouble listening as fast as you talk =:-O
The OGS WebCast was very informative. Please look to throw a few more crunbs to the deprived masses.

@ "Selling" Notes in your organization - enjoyed the session. It seems I'm constantly having to do things along these lines. I especially liked the keycard analogy.
@ the question about including a free training guide for Notes - I have a good solution. I generally have a friend IM me asking me how to do this or that in Notes. I believe that my solution "should" suffice for pretty much any questions users have regarding Notes....

Hi.
Went to your excellent presentation in the Swan (Boss loves Microsoft). How can I get the slides from the presentation. The last slide in particular - it had references that I would dearly love to read (and use). It is the very information I have been searching for.
Thanks.

Excellent work on all three of your sessions, Ed. I enjoyed all of them (and was shocked/amazed/pleased when the e-Pro reference was used... Thanks!)

Thanks all. I'll get the slides posted asap.

Hope the voice holds out. Could tell it was a little bit of a struggle with the industry panel - which was a pretty good session.
