I am excited -- I just finished a call where I was asked to join the advisory board for the Web 2.0 Expo 2010 in San Francisco.

This is a pretty cool conference, and my team recently participated in the New York version and found it to be really useful.  Here's the conference storyline:

Web 2.0 Expo, co-produced by O'Reilly Media, Inc. and TechWeb, showcases the latest Web 2.0 business models, development paradigms and design strategies for the builders of the next-generation Web. This annual multi-track conference brings together people, ideas, connections, contacts, products, and companies to foster stronger Web 2.0 communities.
I'm part of this as an IBMer, a blogger, a social media guy, and a writer.  It is my hope to lend a bit of traditional enterprise thinking balanced with a desire to see the industry continue to showcase innovation, business value, and a bit of the reality of deployability and usefulness.

This should be a great effort to be a part of, and I'm honored to be in the company of 30 incredibly well-respected individuals helping put this conference together.  I will provide updates in the coming weeks and months, and have marked my calendar to be in San Francisco May 3 - 6, 2010.  See you there!
