Language versions of Notes/Domino 8.5.3
October 26 2011
Most-frequently asked question this week -- when are the language versions of Notes/Domino 8.5.3 coming?
IBM doesn't pre-announce the release dates for a variety of reasons. The best available information I have, though, may help with planning.
We are expecting the first group of languages - Chinese (simplified/traditional), Korean, Japanese, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish - around the second week of November, 2011.
The second group of languages - Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish - are expected around mid-December, 2011.
The remainder of the languages are then expected after that...date still TBD but consistent with prior releases.

What does it take to enable Swedish to be included in the first language pack release?
Is it possible to get hold of the Swedish language pack before the 10th of December?

Might be a stupid question, but what purpose do installing the language packs on Domino give you? We have client from all over the world and currently don't have any issues with other languages. Even the iNotes forms from thr Domino English setup have all the languages in by default. Maybe I'm missing some crucial information.

I searched for Slovenian language pack and all I could find is the package for Win2003/2008 (CI5R5SI). The client has a zLinux server, so we are wondering when will it be released, do you have any info on this?

Will the language packs be release at the same time?
