Lepofsky-palooza
August 7 2008
Since we had many "wish I could be there" tweets and pings last night, I bring you...Lepofsky-palooza!
A great time had by 25 current and former Loti at FlatTop Johnny's in Cambridge. The pictures tell (most of) the story. Erica Topolski, Liza Beth Hayman, and Mary Beth Raven put together a "post-Lotus survival kit" for Alan, which included Lotus memorabilia going back through many years and many products. Alan and I also ended up in specially-made T-shirts to help everyone identify who was who at the party...the saga continues. Erica also made sure to include my birthday as part of the evening, which I appreciated being amongst so many long-time friends for the occasion (even if my wife could not be with me).
I'm sure Alan will comment, but it seemed clear to all that he left IBM with many fond memories of his years at Lotus, We all wished him well and look forward to hearing of his successes and challenges at Socialtext. It's not the end, just another chapter...

I'll take "so five minutes ago". :) Thanks, Karen...and to the 40+ tweets and 20+ Facebooks and phone calls from as far away as New Zealand.

As one of those 'wish I could be there' tweets, thanks for keeping us in the loop !! I'm sure it was a blast.
And the t-shirt - brilliant :-)

I was going to wish you a Happy Birthday yesterday, but everyone was doing it via Twitter and Facebook and such, and leaving a comment on your blog seemed SO five minutes ago. But whatever - I'll claim I'm old school, or retro or something. Happy Birthday, Ed. Glad it was a fun one, and here's wishing you a great year.
