When I posted the new splash screen the other day, some asked if it would be available for download. Denise Shaw came through on that...

Lotus Notes 8 splash screen

Click through there to be able to see, and download, different sizes, up to 1400 x 1050.  Thanks Denise, Mary Beth, and the rest of the design team!

Thanks Ed, although the link isn't working for me. Although I don't think I can get to Flickr anyway from work. Anyone have the url for 1280 by 1024? Sometimes I can hit the specific URL.

    Thanks,

    Ger

    Here's a link to the "original" image size of 1400x1050 - { Link }

Link is fixed now -- when you get to Flickr, there is a button on top of the picture that says "all sizes", can be used for your choice up to 1400x1050.

Makes a nice desktop background. *grin*

@Rob McDonagh : Makes a nice desktop background.

Did you tried it? It's a pain for the eyes...

@9 yes it's bright but when I'm using my machine it's obscured anyway - it is good for when I lock my laptop onsite and sits there as an ad for 8 - good discussion initiator!

@Peter, until a few weeks ago, I still had the ND7 screensaver running, as an ad and discussion starter. But now that we're running on 8, I decided to disable it.

I sure would like to see an ND8 screensaver, to replace the ND7 one :-)

@11 Gerco, we're working on one...

    Ed,

Make it look as sharp as one can, to go hand-in-hand w/ the new client UI. :)

@9: Yep. Using it all day. It looks particularly good when Windows is locked, because the logos in the corners still come through perfectly. True, it's bright. But it's soooo snazzy! :D

Question: What is the path to where the splash screen goes?

  1. 16  Joe  |

Hmmm, maybe I should rephrase that - it sounds klunky!

"On a Windows PC, what is the path & filename for the splash screen?"
