Coming out of Lotusphere, there's a lot of activity and momentum around Lotus user groups worldwide.  There's some good stuff happening and coming, and while not all of it is baked, here's a couple of places to watch:

  • Lotususergroup.org is up and running.  If you saw their pedestal at Lotusphere, or visited the Birds-of-a-Feather session on user groups there, you know about this new site that the View and Connectria have generously put together.  The goal of the site, and a few of us working as a virtual group, is to expand the visibility of all the Lotus-focused user groups globally.  There's still work being done to enable more of the site's features, but you can stop by now and get connected with a user group (if one exists) in your area.  If one doesn't, then the site will help facilitate connecting people in un-covered areas.  More details on this effort will come in the next few weeks.
  • My first user group presentation of 2005 is coming up next week.  The New England Notes and Domino User Group meeting is Wednesday, March 9, at IBM in Waltham (outside of Boston).  This user group meets in the evenings; it looks like we'll get started around 6:30 PM next week.  I'm going to do a general combination of my Lotusphere presentations and the Workplace strategy, and hope to have a fair bit of Q&A.  Of course, the part I'm really looking forward to is this user group's tradition of going to Bertucci's for pizza after the meeting...as long as they let me get the pizza slice that has the olive in the middle.
