Yep, webcast gives "I don't like your browser" to my Firefox 1.5. No slides moved in my IE viewing of it so don't think it matters much. Ironic when Firefox support is supposed to be getting better in Domino :)

Anyhow, my primary concern during the webcast was how to procure the "extraordinary rendition" of Jason Alexander, without winter gear to somewhere north of the Arctic circle for an extended stay... but then I never liked Seinfeld much. Get Hugh Laurie next year :)

Yes, I got the same result with Firefox. Oh well, at least they support Real Audio, etc.

    Ed,

It is GREAT that we poor slime that could not get to Lotusphere can get to see the OGS from home!

Sure do wish just a couple more sessions available this way...

It's a great pity (and a great loss of opportunity for IBM) that IBM/Lotus don't record and make available for playback a much wider selection of sessions from events such as Lotusphere -- and MUCH cheaper too!

These are the days of broadband (in many parts of the globe, anyway) and webcasts are a great way to "virtually attend" great events like Lotusphere, if you don't have the chance to attend due to time/money/work/distance constraints.

And even if you were one of the lucky (6,000 or so out of millions of Notes/Domino users) who get to attend such a conference, there are undoubtedly many parallel sessions that you would have liked to attend but couldn't get to. So even for attendees having recourse to webcasts is mighty useful.

Were (many) more sessions recorded? Are there any plans to release them? ... Next year's conference, perhaps? Methinks things have slipped since the Lotuspheres of the mid-1990s.

I am sure that the Keynote was streamed live in previous years, so I am not sure why IBM decided not to do so this year. It seems a strange decision, as the technical issues must be lessening year on year.

AFAIK, all the sessions are recorded (or certainly cameras are present) and made available on video later, so I don't see why they can't be supplied online. I for one would be prepared to pay, say, $100 for access to all the sessions once the week after LS. Certainly beats waiting until March for the UK "Lotusphere Comes to You" events (though I would probabaly still attend them for the networking aspects).

I just wanted to add that this presentation worked perfectly in Real Audio and I.E. The really cool thing now that the slides are here, is that you can use the slide selector to jump around in the video.

Its too bad the proxy machines in the office block the video feed, but you cannot have everything.
