As noted elsewhere, the Lotusphere 2007 keynote is now available for viewing on ibm.com/lotus.  You can also watch it in Second Life until the end of this week.

Thanks. I listened to the OGS from ibm.com today. The audio for the band was unfortunately poor, but the rest of the presentation was great on the web. Had to listen in Windows Media player as the firewalls at work block both Second Life and RealNetworks feed from IBM.COM.

I noticed that if you searched, you can still view the Lotusphere 2006 OGS. Pulled up that one by accident, but it might be fun as a comparo if I can find the time.

Too bad it only supports Internet Explorer.

But as I said, A+ for content, video and sound (except for the Ultra Sonic Orchestra.)

I can understand why Microsoft is IE only. IBM is a huge company with many resources, no longer sells PCS (thus needing MSFT) and is a big supporter of Linux. Yet repeatedly, for reasons I can not grasp, Lotus chooses to really push IE. Does IBM not know? not care? want to save a few bucks on development? I know some smart people inside IBM convinced themselves of each of these decisions. But from the outside, it continues to frustrate and baffle me. But going to the trouble of supporting a non-IE browser, and then in 2007 for that to be Netscape 4?!? I am so confused.

    from the site:

A browser version (Mozilla, Opera or Lynx) that does not support advanced features of IBM webcast presentations (e.g. synchronization of audio/video with slides) has been detected. To successfully view the fully enabled IBM webcast presentation, it is recommended that you close all open browser windows and re-launch the Webcast event page in Internet Explorer (version 5 or newer) or Netscape (version 4.x).

It would be very nice to get this as a video podcast.

Any chance of getting this on iTunes? Would much prefer to watch this on the iPod than the computer. Apple did it with the Macworld keynote. ;-)

This download is pretty painful. What's wrong with just providing a WMV, AVI or MOV file? I just want to download the video and review it, not have to stream it.

yeah, firewalled at work, can't get anything streamed. Surely one would think it would be available to download !?

I wished Neil Armstrong was included in the Keynote.
