See www.ibm.com/lotus/lotusphere (and shhhh, they left the www.lotusphere.com redirect in the proper place, too). The call for abstracts is also open...can't wait to see what y'all come up with this year...

See you there.

Cool, all set.
One quick FYI: the IBM main "/lotusphere" url is still redirecting to the '06 page, not the '07 one. Your link works, Ed, but Rocky's doesn't yet, and when you complete the registration process you can go "back to the meeting site" and that brings up the redirect back to '06.

Been checking last couple of days, and am seeing the same thing Rob pointed out. Thanks for the Link Ed.

Ed, what about CLP and/or BP discounts? Have any of these been announced yet? I don't see anything on the website { Link } about it

Ed -- When will they post vendor info/pricing for booths?

Is it true that Tiger Woods is going to be the guest speaker and that the party is going to be on his yacht?:-)

Christopher - only if they can get the damn thing in the lake. Given its only about 2 feet deep at most - Tigers yacht would need a fair bit of dragging from the mousketeers...

Think there'd be any interest in this topic?
"Work the System - How to get the best prices on IBM Software"
...and is there a chance in heck that IBM would ever allow that session to be presented, lol?

Ed Brill http://www.edbrill.com | 8/17/2006 4:58:50 PM
@10, uh, we'd probably pass on a session like that. Mainly because there are many different contract vehicles and schedules... would sort of have to be a "mass customization" exercise.

Funny thing, at work today, oh yeah an old client of mine(11 years ago)brought me back for some Lotus work but they don't use Notes anymore, just the apps, the lotus.com site was down, or blocked, hmmmmm.
But the Lotusphere site was up!
Hope 2 C U in Orlando this time, o busy one.

Forgot to mention, why does Lotusphere not pass my spell check before emailing in R7?

Gee Ed, what do you have planned for the newly expanded ID track this year? And I've heard you've accepted my offer to help me develop the (NEW) Panel Series! Can't wait to start working on this...next week...:)

Wow is -that- going to start rumors about how the Lotusphere content team defines "working together".... LOL
(Just in case Kristin's name isn't totally recognizable to all readers, especially those readers not connected to the IBM Lotus community, Kristin manages Lotusphere from a content perspective.)
Looks like I have work to do when I get back from vacation...
@Keith - "Lotusphere" and many other terms aren't in the Notes spelling dictionary because it's not specific to the Lotus world. Wish that it was....
@Mike Lazar, sorry I don't know. Will post when I do.

Based on discussions at LS2006 I thought Hannover would be out in '08, but now we hear rumblings that it will be out for LS07.
So.........What is the "likelyhood" that Hannover will be release at (or around the timeframe of) Lotusphere 2007?
Also, typically when does the agenda become public?
Thanks

Ed Brill http://www.edbrill.com | 8/21/2006 10:49:04 AM
@16 I am pretty sure that "Hannover" has always been indicated as a 2007 deliverable but (sound of bubble bursting) it won't be released at Lotusphere 2007. It will certainly be far enough along in beta to be the focus of many LS07 sessions.

I'm in!
@9 Bill, I've seen "Privacy" several times here in Fort Lauderdale, and I can assure you that will wouldn't fit in the Swan/Dolphin lakes no matter how many mice are pulling.
@12 Keith, perhaps we can get together before the Sphere for a local User group meeting?

Ed,
who's responsible for the format of the GURUpalooza! session at Lotusphere - do you know? I have some suggestions as to how the session may be more productive and a better experience for us who attend.

E-mail me with the feedback... last year it was a combo Rocky / Ed / Kristin Keene kind of effort...

@12 & 18 - If you're doing a S. Fla. user group meeting, count me in, too. It's been years since the last one I knew of - 2001, maybe?

Jim Hession | 9/30/2006 11:55:26 AM
Can anyone tell me if this is a "family Friendly" conference?
In other words, I'd like to bring my wife and son to the Sunday night "welcome reception" and the Wednesday night Disney park trip, without having to sign them up for lotusphere. An added fee for the Sunday bash and Wednesday night trip is to be expected, but is this even possible?
I hope that is - while I'm attending Lotusphere during the week, the family could hit the pools or various theme parks.
Any info (before I book airline tickets) would be appreciated.

Bob Balaban http://www.lotus.com/notesforsap | 9/30/2006 1:22:26 PM
@24 Yes, absolutely possible. There is an extra fee for guests at both events. Young children might be a bit overwhelmed by the crowds. Unfortunately for planning purposes, you won't know where the Wednesday party will be until the week of the conference (or slightly before).
However, you can always just go to Epcot instead (they generally open the gates 1/2 hour before the nightly fireworks, you don't need a ticket to get in)
- 26
Brian, Burlington MA | 1/2/2007 8:47:29 AM
A few notes: You can no longer enter Epcot without paying admission, prior to the end of Illuminations. They did previously allow folks without admission into the park as soon as Illuminations began, but too many people were taking advantage of that so about three years ago Disney stopped the practice.
Folks planning on bringing guests to the parties should know that the extra fee assessed for each is very high. I seem to remember pay $60 or $80 for the Wednesday night party for a guest admission.

I've submitted my abstract (Lotus Applications in a Healthcare environment). I can't wait for Sphere 07!
