The deadline for abstract submission for Lotusphere 2010 was yesterday.  A week ago, I was a little concerned that we didn't have submissions in some key tracks...well, at least now we see that extending the deadline made sense.  And just like last year, we received over 1000 submissions and over 1000 proposed speakers.  (Some speakers submit more than one; some sessions have more than one proposed speaker; it balances out).  It's fantastic to see the interest level continues at its all-time high to speak at one of the industry's premier conferences.

I liked the suggestion last week that we open Lotusphere Idol! nominations again once session acceptance/rejection notices have gone out.  Some of you have great ideas that just won't make the agenda for whatever reason.  There are now enough submissions for Idol! to put on a great show, but I'd like to offer additional opportunities.  I will discuss this with the Lotusphere team and we'll let you know.
