Looks like we're going for nostalgia on a few fronts during Lotusphere 2010.  Sandra Marcus (the queen of Lotusphere) sent out a note asking to raise awareness of this fun little trip down memory lane.  For the product showcase reception on Monday, January 18, Lotusphere attendees are invited to wear old Lotusphere shirts to celebrate the history of this unique event.  I think I still have going back to Lotusphere 1996, and my staff t-shirts from the Lotusphere Europe 1998 in Berlin...I'm sure you have some, too, right?

LOVE the idea. I think my Grandma, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews now use my old Lotusphere Bags as their laptop bags. That should be a laugh. Its been about 9-10 years since my last LS and I think the only trinkets that remain are a Lotus Software Visor Cap - and I still have my R5 coffee mug that I still use.

This sounds like fun, if I still had some from way back then.

During the hurricane relief efforts a few years back I donated 99% of all my Lotus/IBM shirts to the effort(t-shirts, speaker shirts, polo's everything) including all my LS Berlin and Orlando staff shirts plus a bunch of others.

The only one I REALLY should have kept was the R5 messaging ones which were white with the R5 messaging logo embroidered on the left side pocket. Loved that shirt.

Too bad I am not going to be there - I have a shirts from 1994 - 2008 (only missing 2002, 2003 and 2007). I wonder if the old ones still fit me. ;)

Darn, I got rid of (donated) dozens of t-shirts, button downs, and hats when I moved back to Toronto earlier this year. I have photos of them though.

My wife used many of my Lotus t-shirts for wash rags. I will see what I can did up.

Darn it. I always give mine to the kids for sleepware.

It gives me enjoy humor to see them walk sleepily around in them.

Also, explaining what "CULT shirt on Human", etc. was is fun.

Now this thread reminds me why we don't give away t-shirts at our booth anymore.

Then in addition to searing your old shirts-- let's have a "Contest" to see who can bring in a picture of the most "adorable" or "innovate" use of an old t-shirt!

on kids, washing the car,... dog bed... hum....

I have a special piece of attire from 1999 that I plan to wear... if I remember to bring it!

Going back home at Christmas to clear-out the storage unit. I'm certain I'll find some old bags and shirts there. Should be fun to discover some archived schwag.

I've got my Lotus Education shirt from Lotusphere 1994 plus the Lotusphere mug from that year (but that would be hard to wear), some hats from various Lotus products and years, all my lanyards(15 of them to be exact, as I missed last year - I'm sure having them all qualifies me as truly weird), and a pile of t-shirts from various vendors and years.

I'm glad I saw this, I almost donated my prized SmartSuite teeshirts... Of course, fitting into it might be a separate challenge!
