2008 marks the 10th anniversary of Lotus Sametime, and the product's maturity showed in its score -- the highest awarded for the year. Sametime has superior messaging capabilities, a high level of integration with other applications, ease of use, scalability and excellent security. Tester Nance called Sametime "a feature-rich environment for network-based collaboration and conferencing [that is] child's play to use because of its user-oriented conveniences."

    Looks like the review was published 30 September 2007. The comments on that page ask about MS OCS's exclusion, but there does not appear to be a response from Network World. What usually happens in these cases is that the review was conducted before the final release of the product (RTM, in MS terms).

    Is there any confirmation of support / pointer to information about SameTime 8.0.2(?) Gateway support for communications with OCS? I've tried the IBM/Lotus site - but that only says that "Lotus Sametime interoperability with Microsoft OCS is currently planned to be available in 2008.
