If you are in Chicago (or can be) next week Thursday, November 5, a couple of really cool events are open to you -- free!

The first is the IBM Innovation Center's tenth anniversary:

The IBM Innovation Center in Chicago is hosting this open house event to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It will include smarter planet business and industry tracks, executive insights, and an opportunity to network with the local business and academic community. If you are an IBM Business Partner, developer, professor, student, small to midsize business owner, business executive, or technical professional, this event is for you, and one you simply can not miss!
I will be speaking on this event on social networking in business, a couple of times during the day.

The second is the Lotus Knows bowling party at Lucky Strike Chicago!  Mary Beth Raven hosted a similar party yesterday in Boston, and I was feeling left out.  Come to Lucky Strike for some rounds of bowling, beverages, and a chance to mingle and socialize with the local Lotus community.  No salespeople, no pressure, just an opportunity to socialize, and all are welcome.  We'll have someone around for demos in case you want to see the latest and greatest stuff (or if you want to tell your boss you are going to a business meeting :-).  The fun starts at 5:30 PM.  Please bring your business card so we know who attends...otherwise, just show up and look for me.  I'll be easy to spot (which may alone be worth the price of admission :-))

If you are on Facebook, you can find more details on the Lotus Knows party and RSVP through this link (I swear it is not a rickroll)...
