This has to be a first... I'm linking to a business partner who has posted screenshots from IBM of not-yet-released beta code. Kudos for Paul for building trust with the iNotes team, and to the iNotes team for recognizing Paul's credibility in this space.
IBM was good enough to come back to me with screenshots of the new version of the iNotes ultralite template. This is not a version available on public beta but will be out with 8.02 and 8.5. Looks like it has continued to improve.

Yeah, because my developers and UI team have a LOT of time to be futzing around with mock-ups for something already in public beta and shipping (in 8.0.2) next month.

Its screenshots - apparently the UL template in the Domino 8.5 public beta is a few months old, and all the functionality that was not there in my previous post, is there and active.
I'm currently begging for a copy of the latest private beta template. Totally understand if they can't/wont. Apparently 8.02 is out next month (not confirmed) and the template will be there to use..

Ed, take no offense. Mock-ups are always first. At least for what we build. The picture above is photoshop'ed anyway.

How would I know? It's always 12:56 and the green arrow is not never at the same height.

@5 - Im sure they are marketing pictures but apparently, thats the look and feel to expect... Hopefully, I will get to see it soon enough to show some "real" pics in the wild.

Go to the greenhouse, log in and hit the DWA Lite link on the right hand side.
Once it opens, switch the URL from:
https://greenhouse.lotus.com/mail/<yourname>.nsf?Opendatabase&ui=dwa_lite
to:
https://greenhouse.lotus.com/mail/<yourname>.nsf?Opendatabase&ui=dwa_ulite
Greenhouse server build is dated 06/15.
You can try this from a regular browser as well, but since the screen is wide format it is not organized quite like the iPhone form factor.

@David.. our entries crossed each other.
If you try this with another mobile device:
The ui works with opera mobile, not with ie mobile.

And in the meantime:
Kerio Mail (Push Mail/Calendar)
"Kerio Announces Wireless Push Email, Calendars and Contacts Support for the New iPhone"
{ Link }
Zimbra Mobile Sync (Push Mail/Calendar)
{ Link }
Both using the Active Sync Push protocol on the I-Phone to Sync.
So it's not only Exchange but also non-Microsoft products that use Active Sync Push protocol to support Pushmail towards the I-Phone.
Cheers,
Frank.

Thanks Paul, really cool. We've also just added a new banner on the Notes and Domino family page (one of the best traffic in IBM at the moment, across all products), thanks Kevin!! { Link }
+ very soon, this page will be promoted on IBM welcome page, stay tuned.

@11 Thanks Frank, I don't think anyone saw that the first or second time you posted it.
Not sure ActiveSync is as much an option in the Notes/Domino world as it is for these niche market players.

Probably not the right place to post this but I've been informed that we are pulling iNotes because it uses only single factor authentication and that is not good enough for us.
Can someone please either confirm that IBM does not have a solution to this or alterntively and ideally point me in the direction of a way of increasing the security of iNotes.

@Ed - We don't have a version 8 server up yet, so I can't do a proper test, but I've been playing with this at Greenhouse on my iPhone, and it's really pretty good in my opinion.
I think that if we can get calendar event creation and an easy way to push out SMS notifications of new e-mail and upcoming calendar events (looks like you can do both if you hack around a little), this will be workable until we get native integration.

Screenshots or mock-ups?
