As you might have heard over at Adam Gartenberg's blog, Sametime 7.5.1 is now shipping, with a host of new goodies.  I know a lot of you are looking for the trial version -- that's planned to be posted in about three weeks.  You can also find tons of detail on the updated website on ibm.com/lotus/st751.

Quickr, too, is moving right along, and a Quickr demo is now available. (via Luis)

Downloading 7.5.1 now from our Lotus BP. Times like this that makes me wish they had a faster Internet connection to their server....

After fixing our internal JRE issue, we've had some real positive feedback on the UI for the MRC. Some usability issues around "add pages" and what that really means since they don't show up on the white board, but over all good comments.

    Yea!

I have been posting the good, bad and ugly all day today on the new installs. Some awesome features and some areas to watch

No video conferencing on the Mac version "at this time". Will that be added in a future update?

    Cheers,

Lotus Quickr... WOW! In a recent post from Ed about SMB and how Lotus. Now SMB will have an All-in-one very interssting product for their all day business.

I'm very impressed. It's a nice and modern upgrade to QuickPlace.

This is great progress for Lotus Software!

Sametime 7.5.1 is great software with an elegant interface and useful tools. It will continue to gain inroads into businesses and organizations.

Quickr has the potential to be a very strong competitor to Sharepoint. We'll talk more about the features, strengths, and weaknesses of the product another time.

As the tools to promote collaboration get more complex, we'll want to figure out how to get back to solitude. We're becoming even more increasingly connected and it will require that we learn how to manage our various behavior states better and what we want others to know, essentially the continued evolution of presence awareness and communities.

@3 - Yes, we do plan to make video available on Mac in a future release.

I downloaded it yesterday - it took a while, but not bad for the size. The server was installed as night, and should be up in limited use Monday. I also downloaded the Win, Mac and Linux clients.

I am still running the last beta build from 2007-04-01-13.12 and I must say, its works great and all the bugs I know of were fixed.

credit to the creator of quickr demo. i confessed that i don't really understand what it is last time, and the demo really helps. And it shows how you can integrate it with other Lotus products. nice one!

Any word on MSN compatibility for the Gateway? We're almost certainly going to end up with Microsoft Live Communications Server rather than Sametime--primarily because of this limitation of Sametime.

Still no announcements related to MSN. I will send you a note.
