Sort of surprised when I typed that sentence this morning. It was directed to a colleague in Thailand, and yes, I really will be there that soon. Later today, I'm leaving for a round-the-world tour, the first one I've done in over a decade....

With a first stop in Paris, unfortunately only 36 hours on the ground which is long enough to prepare for and meet a key customer, as well as attend calls back with my team in the US to see if we are ready to ship IBM Connections Mail and other upcoming new releases.....

Then on to Bangkok, for the first time since 2001, with customer meetings and a weekend to mostly write and sleep...

Then on to Kuala Lumpur, for the first time since I was pickpocketed there in 2006, hopefully a lot wiser this time because I do love K-L, for more customer meetings...

The finally on to Tokyo, for a key customer meeting and perhaps a chance to have breakfast at Tsukiji fish market before....

Returning back home to Chicago.

There's a lot going on while I am away! Even though most of my writing energy will be in chapters 6 and 7 of my book, I'll try to share updates along the way by Twitter and Facebook etc at a minimum. A bientot and arigato gozimasu for now!
