Good to know as the E product runs out of space all the time.

Erm, Ed meant "...validated by the City of Forest Park Police Dept...." ;)

For those who follow my (somewhat frequent) DAOS Real World Examples page { Link } this STS customer was the very first one we did back in Jan-March of 2009 (it takes a while to get it through the IBM process ;0). Back then the customer was weeks from a storage catastrophe but since moving to DAOS they haven't looked back.

Now, 77% was when the DAOS minimum object size was 4KB. It is now 64KB and we see an average of 55-70% overall depending on platform with this setting (i5 is a 1MB for example). I blog about 1 in every 5 or so and the bare minimum we have ever seen in a production mail server is 40% reduction.

What version of Domino were they running prior to the upgrade?

Not DAOS, but here's another recent success story in Australia
