How could I resist this gauntlet:

After seeing Ed Brill mention IBM's "Microsoft Alternatives" session in Manhattan next week, I decided to sign up for it.. or at least to attempt to. There's no online registration, so I sent mail to the listed address asking to register. No response. So, I tried again just now, and added a voicemail for good measure. Hopefully that will do the trick; it sounds like an interesting seminar.
No worries, Paul, we've got nothing to hide.  See you next week in New York!

    There must be some mistake, that link { Link } brought me to something entitled "Exchange Security". That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

    Dammit, I was going to say that.

    yeah, but the content is about moving to Domino, so I'd say that was consistent with the title... :-)

    Ed, that could make for a very interesting day. How about offering a MS -v- Domino debate. Purely from the technical perspecitve, being managed by an independant IT body?. I know the venue would slant the day to IBM/Lotus but do you think that MS would be confident enough to do this.

    it's been offered before, Paul. At Inbox 2004 Atlanta in November, MS was offered the chance for a moderated debate with me, and declined. They wouldn't even return the conference organiser's e-mails after a while.

    Actually, as I said in the update to the post Ed linked to, I'm going to hear about BinaryTree's tools; I expect I already know what Ed's going to say :)

    I remember the Inbox offer allright. I can imagine MS agreeing to this in a few months when Mr Ozzie gets genned up on the MS future. I do look forward to that day...

    @9 genned-up [ jènd úp ]

    adjective

    U.K. informed: having acquired the necessary knowledge or information about somebody or something ( informal )

    If there is any "Genning up" to do, let's hope that its Mr. Ozzie doing the genning. M$ hired him to improve on its future, I hope. Not the other way around... Just a thought, carry on...

    Ok, enough serious talk, back to the jokes - @ 1 and 2, note that Exchange Security is updated frequently, sometimes several times a day.....
