Did you notice this on Simon Barratt's blog?

It seems that Mr. Barratt was kind enough to show up for work today.  How do we know?  Because he logged onto a service called Plazes, and has taught Plazes about his work location.

Plazes is:

Plazes is a grassroot approach to location-aware interaction, using the local network you are connected to as location reference. Plazes allows you to share you location with the people you know and to discover people and plazes around you. It's the navigation system for your social life and it's absolutely free.
Really cool!  I've registered my home office as well, and could see using this regularly, given my travel schedule.
Where is EDBRILL?
you're here: Highland Park, IL USA

Now Simon, can you share with me how you added this into the blog template? Pretty please?

Wow Ed - Is the my 15 minutes of fame??

It's quite a cool awareness system. There is even a Trillian plug in for it. Looks like quite a few people are doing some inovative things with it (integrating into Google Maps etc.)

I added this to the blog, by modifying the LeftSideBar block document (in the Templates\Block view). I included the code provided by plazes (click on Me, then Plazes Plugin on their site).

Just activate the plugin then copy the preferred code into the above document, at a point that make sense to you.

    Cheers!
